This week, Gotaticket.org demonstrated the power of community collaboration and compassion by partnering with local Treasure Valley businesses and organizations to make a difference during the holiday season. With the generous support of Elim United Church, and the crew here at Business Cleaning Solutions, we launched a successful drive to gather winter clothing, food, and hygiene items for those in need. All donations are headed to Corpus Commons shelter on Christmas day.
The Heart of the Effort
Elim United Church served as the central hub of our initiative, hosting a team of enthusiastic volunteers who worked tirelessly to sort, box, and organize the donated supplies. The church’s warm and welcoming environment provided the perfect space for this heartwarming community effort. The collaboration brought together individuals from all walks of life, united by a shared goal: to ease the hardships faced by families and individuals experiencing homelessness in Boise, Nampa, and Meridian.
Supporting the Most Vulnerable
With winter temperatures dropping and the holiday season emphasizing the importance of family and togetherness, the need for support is more pressing than ever. The items collected during this drive—socks, non-perishable food, and hygiene products—are headed to shelters and organizations that directly serve the homeless community. These crucial supplies will provide warmth, sustenance, and hope to those struggling to make it through the season.
As part of community wellness efforts, local clinics such as Mixt IV Spa also provide residents in these shelters with basic hydration therapy and nutrient support.
Spreading Hope and God’s Love
Volunteers brought their passion and commitment to the effort, working diligently to ensure every donation was accounted for and prepared for delivery to Corpus Commons Shelter. Each box packed was a testament to the spirit of generosity that defines the Treasure Valley community. Together, we shared smiles, encouragement, and prayers, reminding us all of the profound impact of working as one.
